Greenpro Capital to launch a $ 100 million Bitcoin investment fund

The Hong Kong company Greenpro Capital, whose shares are traded on the Nasdaq exchange, plans to launch its own fund in the amount of $ 100 million. The fund’s funds will be invested in bitcoin.

Greenpro Capital positions itself as a “business incubator” and provides international financial services to firms and wealthy citizens.

To buy bitcoins, it is planned to use the services of a subsidiary company CryptoSX. The fund should start operating in the first quarter of next year. In addition, the company plans to buy BTC using its own funds.

“We fully believe in BTC as a store of wealth. I have already instructed our investment bankers to raise funds for investments in bitcoin, up to $ 100 million, ” said CEO of the company Sikey Lee (CK Lee).

Note that after this announcement, Greenpro Capital shares almost doubled within a few hours – from $ 1.38 to $ 2.39, although they subsequently retreated to $ 1.68.

Earlier, MicroStrategy invested $ 475 million in bitcoin, and then issued bonds in the amount of $ 650 million, the proceeds from the sale of which will also be invested in the first cryptocurrency.
