The creator of the decentralized exchange SushiSwap, known under the pseudonym Chef Nomi, transferred control of the site to the CEO of the FTX exchange, Sam Bankman-Fried.
The decision came after Chef Nomi faced strong community criticism over the exchange of SUSHI tokens for ETH. The tokens were supposed to be used for the development of the project, but the founder of the Uniswap fork sold them to enrich himself.
Allegations began to appear on the network that SushiSwap was a scam, so Chef Nomi voluntarily transferred control of the site to Bankman-Fried. All administrator keys have been handed over to the FTX CEO.
“I hope SushiSwap will flourish without me. Once again, I was not planning anything harmful. I’m sorry if my decision went against your expectations, “Chef Nomi wrote on Twitter.
Bankman-Freed said it plans to add support for multiple signatures to SushiSwap smart contracts. This will increase the security of the platform and will require at least two keys to authorize the transaction. Note that after the announcement of the transfer of control over SushiSwap to Bankman-Fried, the SUSHI token rate soared from $ 1.8 to $ 3.2.
Recall that recently the Quantstamp company conducted a security audit of SushiSwap smart contracts. Cybersecurity specialists have discovered 10 vulnerabilities at the site, but none of them is critical.
